About my holsters....I first started making mounted shooting gear when I started in the sport in 2008 and after much experimenting I think Lee and I have come up with well made holsters that work and will hold up for years if you look after them.
The first holster is set at about 30 degrees with a larger opening and a turned down lip for a funnel effect and the 2nd holster is set at 20 degrees. The sight locks hold the guns in place and the holsters are tightly attached to the belt. The first holster should have the opening, not the entire holster, at the centre of your body. Too far in centre will usually put the second holster under your armpit where it will be hard to pull out. It's the same if they are pushed too close together. You will at some point bang your hands or your guns.
The one thing I've learned from watching the top level shooters, is that there is no consistency in their gear. Some are drawing off their hip, using bucket holsters or even have them under their chin. :-) The one consistent thing you will find, is that these people have perfected their gun change. The key is quality made gear and muscle memory....then go set some goals!
